Another Way to Care: Society Leader Recognized for Lifetime Giving

No matter what our role is at the Good Samaritan Society, we’re all united by a common calling to care. At the Good Samaritan Foundation, we couldn’t be more grateful for the colleagues who choose to live out that calling in a special way as an employee donor.

For one of our colleagues in Windsor, Colorado, that calling to care began more than four decades ago. Randy Fitzgerald now serves as executive director of operations for Good Samaritan Society locations in Colorado, Kansas and Hawaii. He joined the Society in 1982 and quickly realized the impact of philanthropy.

In addition to becoming an employee donor early on in his tenure, his second job at the Society, from 1985-1988, was raising funds in Resource Development. Randy was recently recognized as a new member of the Good Samaritan Foundation’s Honors Society, a growing community of donors who have given significant gifts in cash or pledges over their lifetimes to the Good Samaritan Foundation.

“We’re so grateful to Randy for sharing not only his God-given talents and ideas with the Society for more than 40 years, but for his willingness to also share his philanthropic gifts to help advance our mission of care,” said Ali Hofer, executive director of the Good Samaritan Foundation. “He’s an inspiration to us all and we couldn’t be more grateful to count him as a treasured colleague and supporter.
