National Campus

The Jerstad Center on the National Campus of The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society is a distinctive facility. Bright and airy by design it is situated beside a serene pond in southwestern Sioux Falls. It offers a comfortable , efficient setting that is fresh, contemporary and versatile.

Opened in 1999, the Jerstad Center was created as a flexible resource for TELGSS but is also available to groups for conferences, workshops and retreats. The character of the facility is distinctive, creating an environment that is both welcoming and task orientated. The Jerstad Center offers an escape from the distractions of hectic daily life, combined with the space and tools required for a successful event.

Three meeting rooms offer seating for up to 50 people. The Board Room is a private, formal round-table setting for up to 25. All meeting rooms are equipped with comfortable seating and top quality AV equipment. The Great Room provides comfortable seating for a larger group or reception with a great view and a grand piano. The Living Room offers a homelike environment for more relaxed fireside gatherings. And the Jerstad Center Chapel offers a serene setting for private meditation or small group services. Full food and beverage service is available.

The retreat center offers the centralized convenience of a hotel conference yet, with a much higher level of technological capability and secluded comfort.

Sleeping rooms at the Jerstad Center are contemporary, comfortable and well appointed. Each of the 34 rooms overlooks the pond through floor-to-ceiling glass. Hotel like amenities include private baths, side chairs, queen beds, individual climate control, cable TV, direct dial phones and data ports. Even such comfortable touches as a hair dryer and continental breakfast are offered.

The comforts you expect are at the Jerstad Center. Complete meals can be prepared on site for day and evening meetings. Coffee, ice and vending are available 24 hours in the Living Room area. The retreat center exercise room features well maintained exercise machines, as well as locker rooms.
