The volleyball club at Good Samaritan Society – Prairie Creek independent living in Sioux Falls, SD, had a surprise guest player: two-time Olympic volleyball medalist Courtney Thompson.
Thompson sported her volleyball getup while she played and residents got to try on her medals.
Needless to say, residents were thrilled that Thompson joined their volleyball game. The volleyball club plays three times a week for an hour at a time – it keeps them active and socially engaged. Laughter and yes, some smack talk – can be heard on the court.
