They call it ‘The Good Sam Love Story.’ Peggy Nyhaug met the love of her life Doug at Good Samaritan Society – Sioux Falls Center. Doug moved to a nearby nursing home and the pandemic separated them for 49 weeks. They talked 3-5 times a day until the day came where they could finally be reunited in person.
"It's a moment I'll never forget to be able to tell her, I think we can we can do this and we can do it safely," said Melissa Tordoff, nursing home administrator for Good Samaritan Society – Sioux Falls Center.
"It's a different kind of love. It's just special, I guess is what I call it," Nyhaug said.
