Good Samaritan Society – Decatur County, located in Oberlin, Kan., invites you to experience healthcare in an organization that trusts the philosophy and model created by its founder, the Rev. August "Dad" Hoeger, who believed that “In Christ’s Love, Everyone Is Someone.”

Our deeply held belief in Christian principles makes us different from other nursing centers you may have visited. Devotions are held each morning to uplift the spirit for the day ahead. Residents are encouraged to participate in daily events, residents council, the choosing of menu items, and enjoying a good quality of life where the resident comes first. Our home is just that — a home — not a cold, sterile environment. This is a place where you will feel comfortable pulling up a chair and visiting with others.
