Good Samaritan Society – Prairie Manor

Good Samaritan Society – Prairie Manor
Sharon Springs, KS
< BACK

The Good Samaritan Society – Prairie Manor in Sharon Springs, Kan., is a community-orientated care center offering a home-like atmosphere for the residents we care for.

Prairie Manor is a 28-bed center in a small, rural community in western Kansas. Prairie Manor is unique, from its round design, roofed front porches and center court  to the top quality, individualized care provided for your loved one. One of the most outstanding features at Prairie Manor is that all of our residents are cared for in a family-orientated environment throughout the center.

Prairie Manor is located across the street from Wallace County Family Practice for easy access to medical treatment and physical therapy. Services provided include nursing, rehabilitation, financial counseling, SRS access site, activities, outings, monthly celebrations, entertainment, church services, transportation service and community involvement.

The center was privately leased for many years. Then in 1994, the county took control. In December of that year, the Wallace County commissioners signed an agreement with The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society to manage the center.
