Good Samaritan Society - Winthrop is a compassionate, Christian-based skilled nursing home where all the staff and the residents they serve feel like "part of the family." Community volunteers also add to the quality of life at the center bycontributing 6,500 hours per year.

Our mission at Good Samaritan Society – Winthrop is to "share God's love in word and deed, believing that 'In Christ's Love, Everyone Is Someone.'" The center's extensive rehabilitation and restorative program allows many residents to meet their health goals and return to other living environments or their own homes after a short stay with us.

Residents and visitors of the center benefit from the center's dog, Dakota. Residents are delighted by her presence. Dakota brings back warm feelings of childhood and remind us all that life is good.

The center offers a chaplain, a licensed social worker, volunteer beauty shop and intergenerational activity programs. The center's beautiful outdoor prayer garden and east patio offer a quiet place for reflection or special times with family and friends.
