Welcome to Good Samaritan Society – Bloomfield
The Good Samaritan Society – Bloomfield is nestled among the rolling hills of northeastern Nebraska in a small farming community. In Bloomfield, people care about their neighbors and friends just like they are family. In 1961, members of the Bloomfield community met with the Rev. August Hoeger about building a nursing home to care for their loved ones. Land was donated, money was raised, and the doors were opened in March 1963. Since then, many changes have been made and new services provided, but one thing remains the same: The tradition of caring for our residents, just like family, is solid. The community remains connected to its citizens and is a vital part of the Good Samaritan Society family.
The Good Samaritan Society – Bloomfield is a 58-bed facility. It is a modern center featuring 21 private rooms and a state-of-the-art physical therapy department. Outpatient therapy was expanded in 1995 to better serve the community. Our rehabilitation therapy is known throughout northern Nebraska for its excellence. We help many residents walk out the door and return to their own homes.
For many years, Good Samaritan Society – Bloomfield has been caring for our community's loved ones, providing a secure home for those who have built our region. In a world of change, this caring has been our stable foundation stemming from our belief that, "In Christ's Love, Everyone Is Someone."
In 2001, Good Samaritan Society – Bloomfield opened Sunset View Assisted Living, located just one block south of the skilled nursing center. It features 15 apartments with 24-hour staff supervision.
