The Good Samaritan Society – Corsica prides itself as one of the most progressive and community-minded centers in the area, offering a variety of services to both its residents and to the community.

The most important aspect of Good Samaritan Society – Corsica is the quality of care the staff provides for residents who are their friends, neighbors or family.

As you enter our home these days, you will see a thermometer. This display is an update of our chapel remodel project. Our chapel has been slowly undergoing big changes. We have plans to remodel the entire space to portray more of a spiritual feeling, less of a family living room feeling. We are also making this room more efficient and economical for our residents. There will be new windows on the side with a view of the garden. These windows will have stained glass hangings. The sides are flanked with operating windows, similar to the bedroom picture windows for our residents. Many generous donors have made this project a huge success! There will be a dedicated alter area with a wooden cross, soft carpet and new lighting. We have begun in the hallway outside the chapel already. Space has been reconfigured to allow equipment closets to use previous dead space. Soon, the nursing staff will have handy all the bulky equipment that makes our residents life here more enjoyable and safe. We have received many donations to date for this project, but as the thermometer shows, we have a ways to go before we can make the remodel a reality.
