Aftenro Home opened in 1921 in Duluth, Minn., on five beautiful pine-covered acres. Over the past 87 years, we have maintained a fine tradition of enhancing quality of life and independence in a homelike atmosphere through professional nursing and supportive services. At Aftenro Home, staff members work hard to live up to our motto, “At Aftenro, you’re not just a resident, you’re a member of our family."

Aftenro Home is a licensed board and care facility providing services similar to both an assisted living facility and a traditional nursing home. Our residents enjoy private, all carpeted rooms, furnishings and cable TV. Our residents are largely ambulatory but require assistance with daily living and nursing care.

Aftenro Home proposes at all times to maintain a homelike atmosphere; comfortable, well-furnished rooms; well-balanced and nourishing meals; and staff members interested in caring for the whole person. Our goal is making each resident feel like he or she is a member of our family.
