Our purpose at Good Samaritan Society – Mott is to provide an environment where family is valued and care is provided in a Christian atmosphere. The way we see it, it’s about living the whole of life. And recognizing that in each of us, there is a friend to be made, a story to be told, and wisdom to be learned. As Christians, neither we, nor Christ would have it any other way.

The Good Samaritan Society – Mott began in 1957 in a building originally designed to be a hospital. When the necessary funds did not materialize to continue, people in the community began to look for a way to use the building. A connection was made with the Good Samaritan Society and what was to be a hospital became the Mott Good Samaritan Home. In the early 1970s, the community realized a need for expansion of services and so a skilled nursing facility was completed in 1975. The center was remodeled in 1990 to better meet the needs of the aging in the area and basic care services were added in 2002.
