Why Good Sam?

The heart and soul of who we are as people is relationships. The work of the Society focuses on relationships—relationships between staff members and those who we serve, between staff members and other staff members and between the Society and the communities that we serve. We realize that we have been called into these relationships. Acknowledging God’s Spirit at work in the midst of these relationships and having faith in God’s ability to carry out what we could not do alone is what gives us strength and allows us to do the work we do. If you find this kind of work inspiring, then maybe a career within the Good Samaritan Society is right for you.

People

“I thank God for bringing me to that center in Albert Lea 19 years ago. I could never do what I do without my team. We have so many wonderful people at our center. At the center, our mission is very clear — everyone knows what we are about and who we are. That mission grounds us and helps us move forward and serve our residents. I always thank God for working for this organization.”

– Renae Peterson, director of nursing, Good Samaritan Society – Albert Lea (Minn.)
