The IRA charitable rollover is back for 2013
Jan. 31, 2013
Good news! On Jan. 1, Congress passed the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012. It enables donors 70½ and older to support their favorite not-for-profit organizations and ministries, such as the Good Samaritan Society, with tax-free gifts from their individual retirement accounts.
The charitable IRA rollover gift option is available until Dec. 31, 2013. Individuals can make up to $100,000 in charitable IRA rollovers in a year. Distributions must be made directly from IRA trustees to the Good Samaritan Society.
This is an easy and convenient way to support the work of the Good Samaritan Society.
