The retirement community has grown from its inception in 1976 to include 93 apartments, 60 twinhome/triplex units, a modern healthcare center and a 14-unit assisted living center. The health center beds are Medicare and Medicaid certified. Senior housing residents may choose eat their meals in the lovely Tuscan-themed dining room. Local transportation is provided.

Denton Village provides a holistic activities program for residents. These programs are led by qualified activity directors and operate within the broader context of life enrichment for every resident. Denton Village also puts special focus on wellness and therapy expansion programs including occupational, physical and speech therapies.

The town of Denton, which is the county seat of Denton County, is home to both Texas Women’s University and the University of North Texas. Both universities offer rich cultural opportunities as well as widely recognized programs related to aging, which offers a wonderful resource for well-qualified staff members. Many residents are graduates of one or both universities, and retired professors and college administrators join many other professionals from all over the United States to comprise a delightful resident population.
