Kissimmee Village lifestyle is all about the amenities

Good Samaritan Society – Kissimmee Village is a beautiful 425-acre gated golf course community where residents enjoy exciting amenities, including a unique natural setting. Oak canopies throughout the campus supply a welcome haven for a variety of wildlife species and a wide range of vegetation.

 

In addition, you’ll find a variety of amenities to add style and excitement to your new Good Samaritan Society lifestyle.


Banquet and event facilities

Kissimmee Village offers several venues for hosting your private party, special event, conference, retreat, wedding or reception. Indoor locations include the Village church, Florida Room, Fairway Cafe, Community Center, Board Room and the Employee Resource Center. Outdoor venues include the Fairway Patio, Nock Island, Amelia Park Poolside and the Veterans Park Gazebo. To learn more, please click here.

 


 

Beauty shop

A full-service beauty and barbershop is available to all residents.

 


 

Boat ramp

The Kissimmee Village boat ramp is part of a marina that opens into Shingle Creek. From there, boaters travel to Lake Toho and through the chain of lakes in Central Florida. Secure boat and RV storage is available in the Village.

 


 

Broadcast and media center

 

Located in the Community Center, the Media Center broadcasts programming for Kissimmee Village closed circuit TV 98/701. Live programs and a calendar of events are included. For programming suggestions or to contact Ed and the volunteer staff, please e-mail tv98@cfl.rr.com.

Club house

The club house is home to the Kissimmee Village health club, Fairway Cafe, Board Room and Welcome Center. The health club includes a fitness center, indoor pool, spa and locker rooms

 

  Indoor dining is casual and comfortable at the Fairway Cafe.

 

  Outdoor seating adds a refreshing Florida feel.

 

The Fairway Cafe is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Serving includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Ask about the daily specials. Available outdoor seating overlooks the lake, golf course and oak canopy. Don’t miss music for dancing and resident entertainers Saturday nights. In addition, the Board Room is available for private, catered events or you can call for takeout!

 

Our Village Welcome Center houses our Leasing staff. Tours are available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The office is open until 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Click here to learn about available housing options.

 


 

Community center

 

The community center is home to Kissimmee Village dining services where meals are available cafeteria style.

You’ll also find here the game room, activities office, media center and the Florida Room, which is home to many large events.



 

Community church

 

The community church congregation is active in many areas of mission and ministry.

 

Nestled between the community center and the healthcare center is the Good Samaritan Community Church. A full-time pastor leads three weekly non-denominational worship services and ministers to the needs of church members. Services are televised on TV 98/701.

Golf course

 

The Frank Ineson Golf Course is a private, executive nine-hole course bordered by oak canopies and a lake with fountain. The course is provided for the exclusive use of residents and guests of Good Samaritan Society – Kissimmee Village. The Village Golf Association organizes men’s, women’s and mixed league play throughout the year. Click here for details.

 

Annual golf memberships are priced affordably for singles and married couples. Non members, guest housing residents and non-resident guests in the company of a Kissimmee Village residents pay an additional green fee.


 

 


 

Pools and spas

  Heated indoor and outdoor pool and spa facilities are available to residents and their guests. Exercise and other swimming groups meet regularly. Click here for contact information.



 


 

Resident gardening

  Garden plots are available for use by Kissimmee Village residents. Located on Westgate Drive, near its intersection with Northgate Drive, these 20-by-20-foot plots are tended with love throughout the growing season. Availability is limited.

 


 

Village pastor and spiritual care ministry

 

A series of inspirational statues and quotations decorate the memorial garden.

 

Good Samaritan Society – Kissimme Village provides a full-time Village Pastor to tend to the spiritual needs of residents and staff members. Click here to learn more about the available programs, studies and worship services.

 


 

Other amenities include:

Boardwalk, gazebos, gift shop, hobby shop, laundry facilities, library, meeting space, miniature golf, outdoor amphitheater, prayer chapel, thrift shop, shuffle board and tennis courts.

 


 

The boardwalk and gazebo at Veterans Park

  Situated on Lake Sunset, the boardwalk is a favorite spot for residents to watch sunsets and experience open space. This is one of several common areas throughout Kissimmee Village that are maintained for the pleasure of residents and guests.



 


 

Gift shop

 

Sunshine Auxiliary members operate the gift shop in the healthcare center.

 

The Sunshine Auxiliary was formed in 1991 to support residents of the Good Samaritan Society – Kissimmee Village healthcare center. The group provides volunteers to operate the gift shop in the healthcare center. All proceeds from the store and the group’s other activities help fund purchases and events that improve the lives of residents. Library

The Good Samaritan Village Library is located in Cluster 11 of the Walnut Glen neighborhood, on the northwest corner of Southgate and Aldersgate Drives. Click here to learn more.

 


 

Amphitheater at Amelia Park

  Kissimmee Village residents enjoy outdoor concerts and performances as well as Easter Sunrise services under the oak canopy of Amelia Park. To reserve the amphitheater for private parties or programs, pleae call (407) 933-3213. The amphitheater seats 210 people.



 


 

Post office

  There is a post office near the entrance to Kissimmee Village. Mail boxes and supplies are available 9–11:30 a.m. and 12:30–3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

 


 

Thrift shop

The Kissimmee Village thrift shop is a thriving community outreach program for Osceola County. The operation is staffed by a dedicated group of Village residents. The shop is open 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Saturday.
