Olathe Towers and College Way Village in Olathe, Kan., is a community that provides a comfortable and affordable lifestyle for individuals 62 years of age and older and for those who are disabled. The Department of Housing and Urban Development provides rental assistance, and the Good Samaritan Society manages the center.

The community offers one- and two-bedroom apartments; 24/7 property management on-call with emergency buttons in each apartment; an on-site meal program, beauty shop, library and recreation room with movies, billiards and exercise equipment; and a social schedule that enables residents to be as active or independent as they wish. Regular activities include devotions and Bible studies, ice cream socials, potluck dinners, sewing groups and game groups. A $3.5 million remodeling of the building and grounds recently was completed. Home health services are available for residents who need in-home assistance. Olathe’s Taxi Coupon Program is available to residents, and the county bus stops at the center’s doorstep.
