Good Samaritan Society – Pohai Nani participated in a community booth with the Arthritis Foundation on April 28. A cooking demonstration with samples was well received by the audience. We are posting the recipes for you to try at home.

A heartfelt thank you for sharing your blessings!

(Kaneohe, Hawaii) - As a non-profit organization, gifts are an important part of our mission and are vital to provide the best services for our senior residents. Thanks to our generous donors, we met our goal and raised enough funds to replace our aging fitness equipment in the fitness center. With the generosity of a last minute donor, we were also able to acquire another piece of exercise equipment. The new line of equipment will include an abduction/adduction machine, leg press, chest press, abdominal curl/back extension machine, optimal rhomb, push up/pull down machine. Mahalo to our family, friends and community members for helping us to provide equipment that will promote independence, mobility and fall prevention.

(Kaneohe, HI) - Our walking path has been completed and ready for walks by our residents. The new ADA walking path allows residents and visitors a beautiful way to explore the campus. Equipped with four benches, the path also includes three rest stations and signs with instructions of exercises that can be done at each station. The path is a gift to our residents from the Pohai Nani Foundation. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy a location “Where Heaven Touches the Earth.”
