(Silverton, Idaho) – Good Sam Bike Jam committee members really organized a doozy fundraiser this year and it was a win-win for everyone! Nearly $2,000 was raised to help purchase flat screen TVs for residents.

The five-month Silver Valley Wellness/Fitness Challenge was open to anyone wishing to make a healthy change. Some participants wanted to lose weight, increase exercise, quit smoking/chewing, improve their eating habits, learn a new hobby or sport, or join a gym.

Participants received “Wellness Points” for various activities and life changes. Wellness/Fitness prize winners were announced at the annual Good Sam Bike Jam Aug. 27.

Funds raised will go toward the purchase of 82 new commercial grade flat screen televisions for the residents of Silver Wood Village. The TVs currently in the rooms are the old fashioned “box” style and they are long overdue to be replaced.

Please consider a donation to help purchase TVs. Many residents do not have the funds to purchase a TV and many residents do not have family members to help financially. The Good Samaritan Society is a non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible within IRS regulations.
