Volunteers at Good Samaritan Society – St. Francis Village give priceless gifts to the residents they serve: helping hands, loving hearts and companionship. By becoming involved in the lives of others through volunteering, volunteers share the love of God and receive more in return than they might ever have expected.

Residents love sharing their home, their memories and their love with others. Volunteers can schedule to visit the center on a regular basis, or they can visit for a single afternoon. Whether it’s providing music, assisting with special programs and activities, or helping residents with daily needs, each volunteer helps enhance the lives of residents. There are many opportunities for volunteers to share their time and talents with residents, and people of any age can become volunteers. Specific needs include assisting residents on field trips, help with Bible studies, help with e-mails, dining room help and work on the flower gardens.

Volunteers offer the little extras that our staff members can't. Come, sit with a resident and reminisce about years gone by. Take a walk outside. Play a game. Call bingo numbers. If you would like to become part of our volunteer group please call the center.
