As the Foundation’s Manager, Engagement and Stewardship, Melinda Larson is passionate about the people who support the mission and ministry of the Good Samaritan Society.
Melinda joined the Good Samaritan Foundation in 1997 after a career in higher education. Since that time, she has supported the Society’s location and national fundraising efforts as planned giving consultant, director of resource development and campaign manager. Her current responsibilities focus on the Foundation’s engagement and stewardship priority.
In 2001, Melinda earned the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation.
A dedicated volunteer, Melinda is on the Alumni Association Board and the Women’s Board at her alma mater, the University of Sioux Falls. She serves on the Endowment Board and is a worship music leader and choir member at Canton Lutheran Church. Melinda is active in the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and Directors of Volunteers in Agencies (DOVIA).
Travel and adventure are high on Melinda’s list of favorite ways to spend her free time. Also a music and theatre lover, Melinda feels there is nothing better than spending quality time with friends and family.
