International Falls, Minn. – Good Samaritan Society caregivers received a gift in April from a local gas station to keep them moving through the COVID-19 pandemic.
“After reading a letter from the city’s mayor, the owner of Koerter’s Fuel donated $1,000 in gasoline to our employees in International Falls,” says Michael Deuth, regional vice president for the Good Samaritan Society. “Pretty cool stuff.”
The letter, sent by Mayor Harley M. Droba on April 9, began: “We all have had our lives dramatically changed in the last few weeks. None more so than the residents, staff, and members of the Good Samaritan Center.” The facility is under strict visitor restrictions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
