Viola Reigle, a lifelong resident of Arlington, Ohio, was born and raised on a family farm. As the oldest child of four brothers, Viola left school early to help her mother on the farm, where they raised livestock and had a large garden
After moving out of her parents’ house, Viola specialized in being the village babysitter. She served in this role for her entire adult life and was known for living simply. She didn’t even own a car. In March 2017, Viola fell at home and had surgery. When returning home wasn’t an option, she came to Good Samaritan Society – Arlington.
Although Viola has no children or spouse, since moving to the Good Samaritan Society, she has become a very special family member to us. She is often found interacting with visiting children and is always the first to hold a baby when one is brought in by visitors. Viola is known for being outgoing and wearing extremely goofy hats or headbands.
Congratulations to Violet for being our resident of the month.
