Home care agency remains deficiency free for 18 Years
July 13, 2020
Good Samaritan Society – Home Care of Southeast Nebraska received a deficiency-free survey by the state of Nebraska and the federal government during the inspection by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services in 2019. This is the agency’s sixth survey in a row over the past 18 years that has been deficiency free.
The survey included examination of policies and procedures, on-site inspections of home health visits, chart audits, personnel file reviews, quality reports, customer satisfaction and interviews with staff and clients.
“I am so pleased that our wonderful care continues to be observed and rewarded by a deficiency-free survey,” says Jessica Gerdes RN BSN, administrator. “It is rare for home health agencies to receive a deficiency free survey let alone six in a row. It shows the ownership of the staff, the effort and care given to our clients, and the teamwork put forth to help clients get better.”
