Skilled care scholarship options
All Good Samaritan Society – International Falls skilled care employees who work an average of ten hours per week at the center are able to apply for scholarships.
The course of study must be expected to lead to career advancement with the center or in long-term care.
Newly hired and recently graduated (in last 12 months) registered nurses and licensed practical nurses may apply to have their student loan expenses reimbursed by Good Samaritan Society – International Falls through this program.
Certified nursing assistants may apply to have their training expenses reimbursed.
This program reimburses only costs related to tuition and direct educational expenses. Reasonable costs for child care costs and transportation expenses related to direct educational expenses may be included.
Northwinds assisted living & River's Edge Villa scholarship options
All employees interested in pursuing education to further their career in long-term care are eligible to apply for scholarships. Applicants must have been employed at least 120 days and must average at least 20 hours a week.
The course of study must be expected to lead to career advancement with Northwinds or River's Edge Villa, or in long-term care.
Medical care interpreter services, social work, and job-related English as a second language programs are included for these employees as well. However, child care and transportation costs are not eligible.
