People from throughout the Midwest, and from all over the country, have selected Good Samaritan Society – Hastings Village as their retirement home. There are many reasons why. The most common one is probably the Village’s “real home” atmosphere. Our accommodations, services and activities offer the independence our residents want, the comfort they deserve and the care they need.
Good Samaritan Society - Hastings Village is located in central Nebraska, just a mile from downtown Hastings. More than 800 men and women, age 55 or older, make their home on its 138 acres, making Hastings Village the largest retirement community in the state.
Housing options are as varied as the needs of residents. Those seeking a higher level of independence choose from ground-level apartments, high-rise apartments, twinhomes and four-plexes. For those in need of greater care, the Village offers senior apartments with services, assisted living and a licensed long-term care facility. In addition, Goldbeck Towers and the Village Terrace are designed to accommodate individuals who meet HUD income requirements.
Within our safe, peaceful neighborhoods, you’ll find fun and fellowship. Villagers gather at the Senior Center to play bingo, enjoy group dinners and dance to the popular Golden Age Entertainers, the Village’s own award-winning band. The Senior Center also features a well equipped exercise room, card room, woodworking shop, pool hall and shuffleboard area.
To make retirement living even more enjoyable, the Village offers a nine-hole golf course, beautiful landscaping, scheduled transportation to shopping areas, grocery stores and medical appointments; beauty salons, a library and a diner. Protestant and Catholic worship services are celebrated in All Saints Chapel each Sunday morning.
