Good Samaritan Society celebrates 100 years in Albert Lea

ALBERT LEA, M.N. - The Good Samaritan Society in Albert Lea dug up a time capsule that was buried in 1987 to reflect on the past and look towards the future. There were bingo cards, a bible, VHS tapes, plates, and newspapers inside.

“I was here when we buried it, I don’t remember what was in it, but I do remember everyone coming outside and watching it,” Shirley Brua, a former employee of the Good Samaritan Society in Albert Lea said.

The staff at the Good Samaritan Society location in Albert Lea said they plan to bury another time capsule for others to enjoy in the future.
