DE SMET, S.D. – Leona Peskey recently celebrated her 100th birthday. On Aug. 22, a party to honor this milestone was held outside at the Good Samaritan Society in De Smet, S.D. Peskey’s two sons, Dennis (Janet) and Dean (Marlys), all five grandchildren and all but three of her great-grandchildren were able to enjoy the day with her.
In October of 1941, Leona married Hillard Peskey, and they lived most of their married life south of Cavour.
Kopplin, Leona was known for her huge garden and excellent cooking and for being the best mother.
