Therapy dogs return to nursing homes to spread love in time for Valentine's Day


For the first time since the pandemic, nursing homes are allowed to have therapy animals visit residents to lower stress and ease feelings of loneliness.

“Their faces just light up when they see Olivia. They reach out for her right away. The stories then that they start to share with us about their own beloved pets that they had in the past,” said Erin Andre, supervisors activity at Good Samaritan Society – Loveland Village.
