Two Good Samaritan nursing homes named best in nation


SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Newsweek has named Good Samaritan– Ambassador in New Hope, Minn., and Good Samaritan – Davenport in Davenport, Iowa, to its list of “America’s Best Nursing Homes” for 2027.

The New Hope location is a current American Healthcare Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) Silver – Achievement in Quality Award recipient and the Davenport location is a current AHCA/NCAL Bronze – Achievement in Quality Award recipient.

The top nursing homes in each state were assessed and ranked based on four pillars: performance data, peer recommendations, accreditations and satisfaction. The ranking provides a resource for those researching nursing home options, highlighting facilities that demonstrate strong performance within their respective size categories and offering a starting point for families navigating this important choice.

Two Good Samaritan locations earned Best Nursing Home recognition for 2027:
