World War II veterans honored at Ottumwa Regional Airport

OTTUMWA, I.A. – Three World War II veterans were honored Monday at Ottumwa Regional Airport.

Good Samaritan Society senior housing partnered with the Dream Flights nonprofit to give local veterans a once in a lifetime experience.

Senior Life Enrichment and Marketing Coordinator, Steph Christner wanted to honor the veterans by allowing them to take flight.

“It’s such a great organization," said Christner. "You know to honor the best generation in history and give them the experience, honor, and thank them for what they’ve done in the service of our country.”
