Experience senior care in Wagner
Good Samaritan Society – Wagner is temporarily closed with a reopening date planned in 2025.
Good Samaritan Society – Wagner long-term care center has been temporarily closed for renovations following the 2022 fire. Construction is progressing and we anticipate completion in late November 2025.
We plan to begin welcoming residents back gradually starting in late November, ensuring our staffing levels match the needs of those we serve. Once fully reopened, our center will be able to provide care for up to 50 residents
What's new
We're making significant investments to enhance the comfort, care and overall experience of our residents for years to come. Renovations include:
- A new kitchen and dining area
- Upgraded flooring, lighting and TVs in resident rooms
- Larger, fully renovated bathrooms in all resident suites
- A refreshed central bathing suite on the 500 wing
- A remodeled and relocated nurses station
- Updated lounge and chapel spaces
Coordinating the reopening
We are working closely with the state of South Dakota and the South Dakota Department of Health & Human Services to finalize an official reopening date.
