What to expect
The amount of therapy you’ll receive depends on what you’re recovering from. It could be a few days or months. Outpatient therapy sessions occur anywhere from one to five times per week and can last from 15 to 90 minutes.
You may have multiple therapy sessions per day depending on your needs and progress.
We offer initial assessments, follow-up treatments and physical, occupational and speech therapies. Our locations can also provide:
- Aquatic therapy
- Balance and fall prevention
- Dysphagia therapy
- Lymphedema therapy
- Manual therapy

Physical Therapy
Physical therapy can help if you’ve had an injury or illness that makes it hard or painful to perform daily tasks. The goal of physical therapy is to reduce pain and improve movement.
Physical therapy can:
- Decrease pain, swelling and inflammation
- Improve range of motion, coordination and balance
- Increase strength and endurance
- Prevent disability
- Teach skills for fall prevention and safety skills

Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy helps people who can’t do everyday tasks on their own. Occupational therapists help them maximize their independence.

- Restore abilities or teach alternative ways to do activities such as bathing, dressing, eating and preparing meals
- Prevent further deterioration
- Provide skills for stress management and coping with the physical and emotional effects of disability

Speech therapy helps people whose speech was impaired by an injury or illness such as a stroke or brain injury.
Speech therapy can:
- Improve your speech and language abilities
- Treat a condition that affects speaking, listening, writing, reading and gesturing
- Provide new methods of communication
